What is Astrology?

Astrology is the study of how the constantly moving planets in the sky affect the life cycles of human beings and events that take place in the world. It is based on the premise that every entity (e.g. person, country) has a natal chart. A natal chart is a snapshot of the heavens at the precise time of birth (this remains the same all of your life). This natal chart is a blueprint of your karma, personality traits, strengths, weaknesses, motivations, challenges and areas of special emphasis in this life. This natal chart contains natal promises which are psychological changes, dominant energies and themes and major life events that are destined to occur when the dynamic transiting planets interact with your natal chart.
What is Numerology?
Numerology is the study of how numbers influence the personality traits and trends in a person's life. Each number from 1 to 9 and the master numbers 11 and 22 have a unique vibration and energy to them. There are 5 core numbers in a person's numerology chart that are very important in understanding personality traits, likes, dislikes, and purpose in life. These are the life path, soul urge, personality, expression and birthday numbers. The intensity number and number of lack are two additional numbers that shed light on a person's strengths and weaknesses. Information about these numbers can be found in the numerology section at the top of the page. These numbers are also important in relationships with other people. When you have 3, 4 or 5/ 5 core numbers in common with someone, this means their role in your life will be significant and very karmic. This influence may be good or bad, the nature of the association I believe is based on past karma but what is certain is that the more numbers in common, the more of a lasting influence they will have on you.
How does Astronumerology help you?
The first benefit is that knowledge is power
It is extremely important to understand yourself psychologically on a deep level so that your natural gifts, talents and skills are put to best use in the activities you engage in, the goals you set for yourself and the direction you take in life. You need to identify your vision and purpose for your life based on a realistic assessment of your past karma, your strengths, weaknesses, gifts and challenges.
The second benefit is enhanced understanding of important people in your life
By having knowledge of why people behave the way they do and have the personality traits they have, it enables us to interact more skillfully with them. In business, an understanding of your boss's or client's motivations and proclivities can help you find the best way to interact with them to achieve your professional objectives. In starting a business, there are some business partners and employees who will be lucky for us, their astronumerology chart complements ours and thus attracts money and prosperity. Likewise, there are some business partners and employees whose astronumerology chart clashes with ours and by going into business with them we will lose a lot of money, and attract excessive stress and troubles. It is very helpful before investing all the time, effort, resources and money into a business to know who to partner with and who to hire. On the personal side, I believe all significant relationships have some degree of karma attached to them. A better understanding of your spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, children, parents, siblings, relatives and friends will help you to identify the nature of this karma and best work it out. Also, by understanding the deeper reasons for their traits and behaviour, it gives us a higher tolerance level for the negative side. There are some people who are in our lives, despite our best efforts at getting along, we find ourselves running into a brick wall. If there is inherently too many clashes in an astronumerology chart, it is best to part ways if that person is in your life by choice and save yourself the unnecessary drama.
The third benefit is in its predictive power
I use mainly astrology for predictions with minor help from numerology. You can prepare yourself psychologically before a challenging transit of planets so that when the transit occurs you will be ready rather than being caught off guard, going into crisis mode and wondering "why is this happening to me"? Astrology gives you an objective reason for the way you are feeling and the current events and energies in your life. It also gives an approximate start and end time for the events/ energies so you know when things will improve. Everything is happening just as it should to teach us the lessons we need to learn. Every transit and experience brings with it a life lesson and opportunity for personal growth. By being aware of the transit beforehand, this will enable you to stay more positive, focus on internalizing the lesson at hand, and realize that this event is part of your life cycle and growth. This is much preferable to the unprepared response of getting negative, having excessive stress because you are thinking things will never change for the better, and letting the life lesson evade you. Just as it is important to prepare for a challenging transit, it is important to prepare yourself for a pleasant transit of planets. Unlike the outer planets, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto which have the power to bring dramatic life changing events with no conscious choice on our part, Jupiter and Venus the two benefics in astrology require effort to maximize desirable results. When transiting Jupiter or Venus make favourable aspects to your natal chart, you can count on them bringing a lucky break or nice circumstances to some degree but that degree depends on their strength in your natal chart (which you can't change) but also to the actions you take at these critical times which you most definitely can change. By identifying in advance these fortunate transits, you will know when to ask for a raise at work, launch a new project, dress to impress, set an auspicious date for marriage, win a contest or money, buy major items for your home and the list goes on. If you don't take action at these critical transits you are letting countless opportunities pass you by. As you can see it is very important to identify both lucky and challenging transits in advance to best use the energy and event to your advantage.
